Rhiwbina Squash and Racketball Club

Rhiwbina Squash and Racketball Club, led by a dedicated team in the village of Rhiwbina in North Cardiff, stands as a central hub for squash enthusiasts. Conveniently located a few miles from the city centre and easily accessible from the M4 motorway, the club offers a prime location for players in the area.

Brian Jones, the club's organiser, ensures top-tier facilities with four squash courts, including two glass-backed courts with tiered seating for up to 150 spectators. These well-maintained courts are available for booking up to two weeks in advance via the club's online system, with a court usage fee set at a competitive £3 for a 40-minute session.

As part of Rhiwbina Recreation Club, members enjoy additional amenities, including a lounge area with Sky TV and a stocked bar—ideal places to unwind and socialise post-match. The Recreation Club also features sections for Indoor and Outdoor Bowls, Tennis, Table Tennis, and Rugby, providing a wide range of sporting activities. Regular events and social gatherings in the Sportsman's Hall & Bar strengthen the community spirit.

Qualified coaches, all DBS certified and first aid trained, offer regular sessions for various groups, including disabled, elementary, and junior players. Competing in South Wales and Bristol squash leagues, as well as the South Glams summer racketball leagues, the club has a rich tradition of hosting major events like the PSA and UK Masters Home Internationals. Internal competitions such as the Rhiwbina Closed Championship, Rhiwbina Open, and the Christmas handicap keep the members engaged.
