Revolution Dance Academy (RDA) is a vibrant and dynamic dance school located in Gartcosh, Glasgow. Specialising in dance and acro classes for children aged 3 and above, RDA aims to provide a fun and professional environment for all dancers. Whether they are pursuing dance as a hobby or seeking further dance education, RDA offers the necessary training, performance experience, and guidance to help dancers reach their full potential.
Founded in early 2021, RDA was taken over and rebranded by Maxine and Mhairi, two professionally trained dancers and qualified dance teachers who are also actively performing in the performing arts industry. With their expert knowledge and experience, they are committed to building confidence in their dancers and nurturing their talents.
RDA offers a wide range of dance classes, including acro, pre-school dance, and stage dance. The classes are designed to cater to different age groups and skill levels, ensuring that every dancer receives the appropriate instruction and guidance. In addition to regular classes, RDA also provides exciting opportunities for dancers to participate in Summer Camps, Fun Days, and school trips to the theatre. They also invite industry professionals as guest teachers to impart their knowledge and expertise through workshops.
The team at RDA is led by Miss Maxine, co-owner, and principal teacher. With an HND in Professional Stage Dance and years of teaching and performing experience, she is a certified Acrobatic Arts Teacher and also regularly takes auditions for DA Management Agency. Miss Maxine has been involved in various performances, including pantomimes, stage shows, tribute acts, and even movies and TV shows. She is currently a member of the Scottish Rockettes and a dancer captain for Tribute Act Entertainment.
Joining Miss Maxine is Miss Mhairi, co-owner, and principal teacher. Having started dance classes at a young age, Mhairi's passion for dance led her to earn an HND in Professional Stage Dance. She has gone on to work professionally as a dancer, as well as teach various dance styles. Mhairi's diverse experiences include performing in productions like “Please Stay” at the Pavilion Theatre in Glasgow and touring with circus companies Circus Vegas.
At RDA, every dancer is encouraged to explore their creativity, express themselves through movement, and develop a love for dance. The academy believes in nurturing a strong foundation in dance technique while fostering a supportive and inclusive community. With their experienced team and carefully curated curriculum, RDA is the perfect place for dancers of all ages and abilities to thrive and grow.
