Rendezvous (Rifle & Cannon/Mortar) Event

Come and join the SSAA Brisbane Benchrest Shooting club for their upcoming Cannon competition at the Standing Post Area on 292 Mount Petrie Rd in Belmont. This event is the perfect opportunity for participants to showcase their skills using scaled-down reproductions of historical naval or artillery pieces.

Competitors will have the chance to choose from cannon classes including Demi-cannon and Open Cannon, and will have targets set up at distances ranging from 50m to 200m. Points will be awarded based on the accuracy of hitting targets resembling forts at each distance.

In addition to the cannon competition, there will also be a Mortar event where competitors can challenge themselves to launch projectiles at a target flag between 100m to 180m. Adjusting for distance and accuracy will be key, with the amount of black powder used playing a crucial role in hitting the target.

Please note that only licensed individuals are permitted to participate, with a maximum of 10 competitors allowed in this event. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to test your marksmanship abilities and have a great time with fellow shooting enthusiasts!
