Founded in 2008 as Unique Baton Twirlers, Renaissance Majorette Academy has a rich history. The school was born out of a personal passion for majorette routines, with the founders recognising the transformative power of the art. Majorette routines became a stable and grounding force during the founder's teenage years, offering them a place to belong and express themselves. As they excelled in their own skills, they discovered the joy of sharing that knowledge and helping others achieve their goals.
In 2008, with the support of Sophie, the founder's sister, and their grandmother Sheila, Renaissance Majorette Academy began its journey. The academy quickly attracted 22 girls on its first night and has since grown steadily. Apart from a few breaks and the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the academy has been actively involved in local and national competitions since 2009.
In 2019, the academy rebranded to Unique Majorette Academy, symbolising its evolution and growth.
