Redz Performing Academy

Redz Performing Academy is a non-profit organisation located in Camberley, New Zealand. Founded in 2004 by Neil Braybrooke-Tidy, Redz is dedicated to providing young people between the ages of 3 and 16 with affordable opportunities to explore and develop their performing arts skills. The academy has a warm and friendly atmosphere, fostering a sense of belonging and family among its members.

Regardless of their existing skills, Redz welcomes all children to join their classes. The academy's main focus is to build confidence and introduce children to the world of performing arts in a fun and welcoming environment. Redz offers classes in Camberley, where Emma Neumann serves as the site principal, and in Sandhurst, under the leadership of Kerry Braybrooke-Tidy. The classes are held on Saturdays, with additional sessions on Mondays.

Redz is proud to have the support of their patron, Showaddywaddy, a renowned music group that had more hits in the 1970s than any other act, including Abba. Andy, a member of Showaddywaddy, has a passion for singing and has been involved in theatre for many years. In addition to his musical accomplishments, he has also performed in plays and musicals. Andy's first UK tour was “Happy As A Sand Bag,” where he portrayed the blue cheeky chappie comic, Max Miller.

The academy's team of coaches, including Emma Neumann, Kerry Braybrooke-Tidy, and Becky Parfree, are experienced in their respective fields and are dedicated to guiding and inspiring young performers. Redz also offers various workshops and events throughout the year, providing additional opportunities for growth and development.

As Redz has been running for over 15 years, it has established multiple locations in Ash, Frimley, and Sandhurst. The academy offers a wide range of classes and programmes, ensuring that each young performer finds a perfect fit for their interests and aspirations.
