Salsa, originating in Eastern Cuba in the 1920s, combines Spanish and Afro-Cuban musical elements to create the lively and infectious rhythm we recognise today. The 8-step Cuban style of Salsa, featuring a tap, is taught at Redlands Latin Dance.

Bachata, born in the Dominican Republic, is a fun and playful dance that evolved from a fusion of Bolero music with African elements. Zouk, an elegant and flowing dance, originated in Brazil and combines elements of Samba de Gafieira and Bolero. Lastly, Swing, a lively and energetic dance similar to Rock & Roll, is danced with 8 steps, including a triple, a triple, and a rock step.
