Reality MASD

Dan Palmer would like to share some exciting updates with the sports community about Reality MASD. Located in Warminster, UK, this kickboxing school and martial arts academy offers a unique training system that combines Freestyle Martial Arts with Reality-Based Self Defence. The training is personally approved by Master Dave Turton, a highly respected 10th Dan and Head of ASMAA and SDF.

Reality MASD focuses not only on the martial arts as an art form practised within the dojo but also prepares students with practical self-defence techniques for real-world situations. These techniques are easy to remember and effective, even under stress.

The school is very family-oriented, encouraging families to train together by offering significant discounts for additional family members. This fosters a supportive environment where families can learn and practice together.

At Reality MASD, students gain more than just physical strength. The school emphasises life skills such as self-respect, discipline, improved concentration, and strategies to avoid bullying. Assertiveness training and perseverance are also key components of the curriculum. These skills have been proven effective in real-life scenarios, such as a 4'11" woman successfully defending herself against a 6'6" attacker.

The instructors, including Dan Palmer (3rd Dan), Jai Coombes (4th Dan), George Price (3rd Dan), and Dion Mangodza (3rd Dan), along with trainee instructor Violetta Tar (Junior 1st Dan), are highly experienced and passionate about teaching.

Classes are held in Somerton, Langport, and Warminster. The Somerton and Langport club offers mixed classes for all ages on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, while the Warminster club has mixed classes on Tuesday and Sunday evenings. Monthly fees are £30, paid by standing order, with an initial joining fee for the uniform, embroidery, and licence book.
