During the charter, you will have the opportunity to encounter various species such as Snapper, Pearl Perch, Red Emperor, Sweetlip, Cobia, Parrot Fish, and seasonal species including Mackeral, Amberjack, and Wahoo. Additionally, from May to October, you may even spot whales during their migration.
Rainbow Beach Fishing Charters is actively involved in the fish tagging programme. With over 10,000 fish tagged so far, they work closely with Sun Tag and the Fisheries Research Team to monitor growth rates and travel habits of the fish. The charter operates the “Baitrunner,” a 32ft Cougar Cat powered by two 250hp Suzuki 4-stroke outboards. The vessel offers a fast and comfortable ride, with a top speed of 38 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots. It is equipped with a full bimini roof to provide shade on hot days and has toilet facilities on board for your convenience. The Baitrunner is equipped with the latest electrical equipment to help you find the biggest catch and maintain communication with shore.
Safety is of utmost importance to Rainbow Beach Fishing Charters. Upon boarding, the crew will provide a comprehensive safety briefing in compliance with maritime regulations. The crew is highly trained and experienced in ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers.
A smoking area is available on board with provided ashtrays to protect marine wildlife. Alcohol is permitted, so feel free to bring your own, but the charter does not supply it. The maximum capacity of the vessel is nine passengers plus the two crew members.
