Radcliffe Athletic Club Juniors welcomes children aged eight to 16 who are passionate about athletics. Located at Livingwaters Church on Dumers Lane in Radcliffe, Manchester (formerly Close Methodist Church), the club offers an exciting opportunity for young athletes to develop their skills and have fun.
Every Monday from 7pm to 8pm, the juniors gather to immerse themselves in the world of athletics. Following the England Athletics junior 365 Programme, the club focuses on the FUNdamentals of athletics. These sessions cover a wide range of activities, including running, throwing, and jumping, providing a well-rounded experience for the juniors.
At Radcliffe Athletic Club Juniors, the emphasis is not only on skill development but also on enjoyment and camaraderie. The club believes that fostering a positive and supportive environment contributes to the overall growth and resilience of our young athletes. Engaging in athletics is not solely about competition, but also about building friendships and having a great time.
During the summer months, the juniors have the incredible opportunity to explore the beautiful trails in and around Radcliffe. Imagine the thrill of running amidst nature's wonders, a perfect blend of exercise and adventure! Moreover, the club actively encourages juniors to take part in various races, competitions, and cross country events. These opportunities allow our young athletes to gain invaluable experience and showcase their talent.
As an added bonus, Radcliffe Athletic Club Juniors also participates in parkruns and the Burrs Community Run at Burrs Country Park in Bury. These events provide an excellent platform for our juniors to engage with the wider athletic community while enjoying the thrill of competition.
Eager to join? Membership fees apply on an annual basis, and we warmly welcome new members to join our vibrant club. For non-members, there is a small request for a contribution of £1 per week to help support the club's activities. However, please note that sessions will remain free to our junior members.
