QDPA is Australia's first fusion of Dance and Circus Arts. The passionate and dedicated staff at QDPA are committed to transferring their knowledge of dance and performing arts to the students. With a well-structured and varied syllabus, QDPA offers Borovansky and Vaganova Ballet for all levels, contemporary jazz, hip hop, acrobatics, circus, aerial, and hoop classes. The staff and guest artists act as excellent role models for the students, ensuring a positive learning environment.
Fees at QDPA are payable for a complete term, rather than on an individual class basis. The basic cost is $15 per dance class and $18 for acrobatic and circus classes. Upon registration, a non-refundable annual fee of $110 per family is payable. QDPA also holds a concert at the end of each year, showcasing all genres of ballet, dance, acrobatics, and circus skills.
QDPA offers a wide range of ballet classes for students of all levels. The instructors are qualified professional teachers with years of experience, ensuring safe and enriching ballet experiences for students. QDPA follows the Borovansky and Vaganova styles, and each class is designed to enhance students' ballet technique. The classes have two teachers present to ensure the highest level of instruction and individual attention.
In the pre-primary ballet class (3-4 years), students meet once a week for 30 minutes. This introductory class focuses on teaching the foundations of ballet technique, including proper dance posture, arm and foot positions, and the proper turnout of legs. Whether students are pursuing ballet recreationally or aiming for a professional dance career, QDPA is dedicated to delivering a high-quality ballet programme for everyone.
