Welcome to Purton Cricket Club, a welcoming and family-friendly club embedded in the community of Swindon, Wiltshire. With a rich history dating back to 1820, Purton CC is the oldest cricket club in Wiltshire.
At Purton CC, we are proud to offer cricket to both adult and junior members. We currently run two Saturday sides, with our 1st XI playing in the competitive Wiltshire County Cricket League (WCCL) Division 1, and our 2nd XI playing in the WCCL Division 4. Additionally, we have a midweek side that competes in the Monahan's Swindon Midweek Cricket League, as well as a team in the Swindon Indoor Cricket Association.
One of the highlights of our club is our thriving youth section. We have teams playing in the Wiltshire Junior League at the under 19, 15, 13, 11, and 9 age groups. We are dedicated to nurturing and developing the talents of our young cricketers, and providing them with a platform to grow and excel in the sport.
As an open and friendly club, we are always delighted to welcome volunteers who can contribute to the running of the club, whether it be in a cricketing or administrative capacity. We value the support and dedication of our members and the wider community, and recognise the importance of teamwork in achieving success.
Purton CC is proud to be accredited by the England Cricket Board (ECB) for Clubmark, which signifies our commitment to providing a safe and high-quality cricketing experience. Additionally, we have been awarded Focus Club status by Wiltshire Cricket for our dedication to club development and support of their key strategies.
