Looking for a smashing time in Purley? Join the Purley United Badminton Club! Run by Nicola Hawes, this friendly club meets every Friday from 8:00 pm to 10:30 pm at the church hall on Brighton Road, right next to Purley Hospital.
All are welcome, from seasoned players to complete novices, with a senior membership costing £80 a year and students getting a sweet deal at £40. Or just pop in as a guest for £5. Juniors aged 10-17 can join the "Shuttles" Junior Club on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm for a bit of coaching and a lot of fun.
There's free parking next door from 6:00 pm, and if the door's locked, just ring the bell. Nicola also loves a good party, so expect plenty of social events like birthday bashes and Christmas do's to keep everyone in good spirits.
