Kia ora Badminton Whānau,
Eugene would like to share some updates and information about the Pukekohe Badminton Club. Nestled in South Auckland, this club brings together people who love badminton, welcoming players of all ages and skills.
Eugene makes sure there's something for everyone. Kids aged 5-12 can join the Junior programme on Thursday evenings at Pukekohe High School. For just $5 a session, it’s a great way for them to have fun and get an introduction to badminton. There’s also a full season membership for juniors running from March to October, priced at $70.
Teenagers aged 13-17 have their own programme, with plenty of opportunities to either play casually or step up the competition. The Senior programme caters to adults from 18 and above, offering Thursday evening sessions and possibly Saturday mornings in the future.
Eugene, known for his calm and approachable nature, is always available by email or phone. The club's Facebook page is another good way to keep up with the latest news. Just remember, the club runs with a team of passionate volunteers, so replies might take a bit of time.
Need help with your equipment? Donna’s your person. From full racket restringing for $25 (or $20 if you provide your own strings) to $2 per string repair, she’s there to keep your gear in top shape.
Looking for the club? Head to the gym at Pukekohe High School. While the space has its quirks, the club believes these add to the unique experience of playing badminton with us.
Eugene and everyone at the Pukekohe Badminton Club are excited to welcome new and experienced players alike. Whether you’re just picking up a racket or looking for some friendly competition, the club is here to support your love for the game.
Ngā mihi,
The Pukekohe Badminton Club
