Star Cheer and Tumble was established in 1998 in Leicester, offering cheerleading, dance, and gymnastics classes for individuals aged 3 years to adults. As Leicester's largest and longest-running cheerleading squad, leading Star Cheer and Tumble takes pride in providing a friendly and encouraging atmosphere where athletes can learn to a high standard while having fun.

The dance school boasts its own cheer and tumble gym, equipped with a 9 panel sprung full cheer floor, trampolining fast tumble track, 3 air tracks, and a smaller 5-panel sprung floor area. To ensure the safety of the athletes, there are plenty of tumble training aids and mats available. All classes are now held in this state-of-the-art gym, which is also open for hire. The gym can be booked for birthday parties, events, extra training sessions, or classes, offering a competition floor for other teams.

Premier Star Cheer and Tumble is a community interest company, with profits reinvested in the club to provide training for coaches and staff and to update and acquire new equipment. The school's teams perform at various competitions, charity events, corporate events, and fundraising events across the UK. They have won numerous regional, national, and grand champion titles, and have even competed internationally in Europe and America, achieving impressive rankings. In 2008, the school received a bid to the Cheerleading Worlds.

The coaching and training at leading Star Cheer and Tumble are of a highly experienced level. They focus on technique, athleticism, teamwork, commitment, self-belief, confidence, and, above all, fun. The coaches are trained by reputable organisations such as USASF, BGU, BQC, and British Gymnastics, constantly learning the latest techniques, drills, and skills. The school also offers a junior coaching programme to support athletes interested in coaching, helping them develop into young leaders.

Joining leading Star Cheer and Tumble is open to everyone, regardless of prior experience. The school does not hold tryouts for its teams, ensuring that there is space for everyone. The coaching staff is also available to hire for teaching cheerleading, dance, or gymnastics. They can be booked for birthday parties, school classes, or special events such as brownies or rainbows.

The senior team of top Star Cheer and Tumble, known as top Allstars, was formed in 1998 and has achieved notable success. They have competed internationally in the USA at the CaNam International Cheerleading Championships, placing 2nd in Open Dance and 3rd in Open Cheer. They've also performed at prestigious UK venues including Wembley and Royal Albert Hall.

Over the years, leading Star Cheer and Tumble has expanded to include junior, youth, mini, and Twinkles teams. In 2009, they moved to a new gymnastics centre with two floor sprung floors and a dedicated tumble strip. They have also established top Infinity Stars and premier Shooting Stars teams in different locations.
