Our academy system and structured curriculum are designed to cater to footballers of all abilities, from grassroots to professional academy players. Since our establishment in 2013, premier Player has grown to become the leading football academy in the North East, with over 400 players attending our weekly sessions.
Our team of coaches consists of former professional footballers or goalkeepers, all of whom are UEFA/FA qualified from FA Level 2 to UEFA PRO Level, which is currently the highest football qualification attainable. Each coach holds a CRB Enhanced check, is fully insured, and has undergone first aid training. We believe in prioritising quality over quantity, which is why we maintain small groups of players during training sessions.
It is important to note that attending top Player does not impact your membership with any junior club football team. We are solely a training provider and have no intention of starting our own teams. Instead, we aim to complement the excellent work done by managers and coaches at junior clubs in the Teesside and Durham region.
We offer a wide range of services, including 1-on-1 and small group sessions, regular shooting and goalkeeper competitions, and specialised goalkeeper sessions. Currently, we operate academies in Middlesbrough, Stockton, and Darlington on weekday evenings. To provide aspiring footballers with the opportunity to experience our coaching and facilities, we offer two free taster sessions.
By becoming a member of premier Player Academy, you gain access to a variety of benefits. These include a minimum of 40 weekly sessions per year, coaching by UEFA/FA qualified and CRB checked coaches, three individual player assessments per season, an exclusive members discount scheme, and opportunities to be recommended to professional clubs for trials. Our training sessions take place on state-of-the-art 3G surfaces, using leading League standard balls and equipment.
