The centre also provides optional examinations through the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) from Grade 2 at school, allowing students to set goals and track their progress. Students in Grade 2 and above work towards an in-class display to encourage improvement and goal-setting. Optional annual performances are available, with junior performances up to Grade 1 at school having no additional rehearsal commitments.
For Grade 2 and above, students have the opportunity to participate in a full theatre performance experience. Additionally, community performance opportunities are provided, allowing students to showcase their talent and contribute to the local community.
The teaching team at Prelude Dance Centre is composed of highly trained professionals who have either completed or are in the process of completing a teaching qualification. The purpose-fitted out studios feature sprung floors, mirrors, and an in-house dance store known as “The Little Dance Shop,” making it convenient for students to access dance supplies.
Established in 2016 in Logan and now thriving in Underwood, Prelude Dance Centre has become a beloved part of the local community. The centre has seen numerous families join their community and has expanded to have two fully fitted out studios.
