Michelle Nicholls would like to extend a warm welcome to the sports community on behalf of Precision Gymnastics Vauxhall. Located in Battersea and Vauxhall, London, Precision Gymnastics runs classes at St Marys RC Primary School and the Latchmere Leisure Centre. The club has five competitive squads, including the Floor and Vault squads (squad 4, 3, and 2), Development squad (squad 3), Mini squad (squad 5), and the 4-piece Women's Artistic teams (squad 1). Recently, £25,000 was invested in upgrading the Latchmere Leisure Centre facilities, providing state-of-the-art equipment for their gymnasts.
Some of the equipment at Precision Gymnastics Vauxhall includes two 12-metre tumble tracks, two FIG-approved 5-metre adjustable height competition beams, 25 crash mats, six inflatable tumbling aids, and two flic blocks. They also provide various training aids to enhance gymnasts' performance and safety.
Michelle is keen on discovering and nurturing talent, scouting participants each year to offer competitive opportunities. The selection process looks at technical skills, confidence, work ethic, ability to take and implement corrections quickly, and a passion for learning.
Michelle herself holds a BA (Hons) in Ballet Education from the Royal Academy of Dance, is a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Dance, and is a certified coach in Women's Artistic Gymnastics by British Gymnastics. Other coaches at the club hold levels 1 and 2 certifications, and there is a mentoring scheme for older gymnasts to become assistants and coaches.
Classes available include preschool for children aged 3-5, separate classes for boys and girls, age-specific classes for children aged 5-8 and 9-11, advanced classes for gymnasts aged 12 and above, birthday parties, and private lessons. Squad training is also provided for those selected for competitive squads.
