Michelle Nicholls, the driving force behind Precision Gymnastics Battersea, wants everyone in the sports community to know what's going on at their academy in Battersea and Vauxhall.
Michelle’s goal is straightforward – to offer top-notch gymnastics training for folks of all ages and skill levels. Precision Gymnastics runs out of St Mary's RC Primary School and the Latchmere Leisure Centre, ensuring classes are accessible. The recreational classes are open to preschoolers through to those a bit more advanced, ensuring there's fun, skill-building, and a welcoming atmosphere for all. On top of that, Michelle has assembled five competitive squads, each showing off their skills at various friendly and regional competitions. These include different squads for Floor and Vault as well as the Development and 4-piece Women's Artistic teams – all making waves with their achievements.
Precision Gymnastics has done some serious upgrading recently, pouring £25,000 into new equipment. Gymnasts now have access to 12-metre tumble tracks, adjustable height competition beams, crash mats galore, and inflatable tumbling aids.
But it’s not just about the skills. The academy scouts all its classes annually, looking for gymnasts who stand out in natural progression, confidence, work ethic, and a keenness to learn. This dedication to uncovering and nurturing talent is what sets Precision Gymnastics apart.
Michelle is supported by a stellar team of coaches with British Gymnastics certifications. They even have a mentoring programme for older gymnasts who want to step into coaching roles, adding another layer of support and growth for everyone involved.
