Practise-Taiji is based in Fareham and specialises in Chen style Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan), one of the five main styles of this ancient art.
Tai Chi is originally a Chinese martial art practised for self-defence, but these days, many people join for the health and wellbeing benefits. Tai Chi is often compared to a moving meditation, where the focus is on slow, continuous, and flowing movements. These moves aim to improve natural and efficient whole-body movement, getting rid of unnecessary tensions.
John’s classes at Practise-Taiji are open to complete beginners as well as those with some prior experience. Classes include simple warm-up and whole-body exercises, alongside learning and revising the form. Currently, classes are held in Waltham Chase and Portchester, with plans to start new classes in Fareham soon, depending on interest.
Payments are flexible for your convenience. While bank transfer is preferred, cash payments are also accepted if online banking isn’t an option. Fees are paid monthly in advance.
