Cameron has a quick update for everyone in the sports community about the Powerplay football club at Oakengates Leisure Centre. Based in Telford, this place boasts a fantastic 3G playing surface on New Road in Wrockwardine.
The club hosts 40-minute football games on Mondays and Thursdays, starting at 7pm. The cost for joining a league is £38 per game, making it easy on the wallet. There's also a 6-a-side men's league with seasons ranging from 14–16 weeks, each game lasting 35 minutes and costing £36 per week. Top teams get to take home trophies and medals – adding that competitive spice.
Players must be over 16, and the team captain over 18. Whether you're a seasoned player or just beginning, everyone’s welcome. You can wear moulded or plastic boots, AstroTurf trainers, or regular trainers.
Facilities include parking, changing rooms, and toilets, making it stress-free for all. There's also a handy free app for iPhone and Android where you can check your stats, make payments, and manage your team.
