Port Stephens Australian Football Club, also known as Port Stephens Power, is a vibrant and inclusive AFL club located in Medowie, New South Wales. Registration for the 2022 footy season is now open, and the club gladly accepts Active Kids vouchers for all players under 18, including seniors. In case of any issues at the time of payment, individuals are advised to select “Pay Later” and email portstephenspower@gmail. Com, mentioning their name and phone number. The registrar will promptly contact them to address the matter.
For Auskick, the registration fee for the season is $100, with no additional weekly fees. All Auskick players will receive an Auskick Pack from the AFL. Youth girls interested in joining the competition are required to pay a registration fee of $150 for 2022. New players will receive club socks, and the club provides guernseys on match days.
Participants will need football boots and a mouthguard for training and matches. Training sessions are scheduled for Tuesdays from 5 to 6 pm, and games will be held on Sunday mornings to minimise conflicts with other sports.
Similarly, players in the U9s to U17s age groups are required to pay a registration cost of $150 for the season, with no weekly fees involved. New players will receive socks, and shorts can be purchased separately. Football boots and mouthguards are mandatory for these age groups as well.
The senior women's team registration cost is $250 for the season, with no weekly fees. As with the junior teams, new players will receive socks, and shorts can be purchased separately. Football boots and mouthguards are also necessary for the senior women's team.
Training sessions are held at Ferodale Oval in Medowie. Auskick, U9s, U11s, and youth girls train on Tuesdays from 5 to 6 pm. The U13s, U15s, and U17s have additional training on Thursday nights, from 5 to 6:30 pm. In case of wet weather and oval closures, the club provides updates via email and/or Facebook to keep families informed.
Lastly, supporters have the opportunity to assist the club through the NAB Free Kick Programme. If taking out a loan with the NAB, members are encouraged to mention the programme and their affiliation with the Port Stephens AFC.
