Welcome to Portsmouth Volleyball Club, a dynamic and inclusive women's club based in Portsmouth, New Zealand. Our club prides itself on its multicultural and outgoing nature, welcoming players of all levels and backgrounds. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner looking to learn the sport, we invite you to join us for a training session and see what we're all about.
Currently, we compete in the National League Division 3, showcasing our dedication and commitment to the sport. In addition to our league matches, we also take part in various local competitions and summer outdoor tournaments, such as the HVA Women Grand Prix and IBM Summer Volleyball Tournament. These events provide our players with opportunities to showcase their skills and compete against other talented teams.
At Portsmouth Volleyball Club, we believe that it's not just about the game, but also about having fun and building strong relationships within our club community. Throughout the year, we organise social events and gatherings for our members to enjoy, fostering a sense of camaraderie and unity. From team dinners to themed parties, we ensure that there's always something exciting happening off the court.
If you're interested in joining us, our training sessions take place every Tuesday from 8pm to 10pm at the Sports Hall in Priory School, located on Rugby Road in Southsea. For non-members, the first session is free, and thereafter, it's 5 per session or 40 for a bundle of 10 sessions. Members of our club pay a one-off registration fee of 36 per year, as well as a monthly fee of 35 for a duration of 12 months. Becoming a member allows you to compete in the National League Competition, as we require all players to register with the English Volleyball Association.
