The school is led by John Tiley, a member of the Society of Australian Teachers of Dancing. John offers a range of classes, including group sessions, individual tuition, and follow-on social dance events. You will have the opportunity to explore various dance styles, including Modern Ballroom, New Vogue, Latin American, and Old Time.

Whether you are looking to become a confident social dancer or enhance your versatility on the dance floor, our classes are designed to help you achieve your goals. For those seeking a more personalised approach, private lessons are available to refine your skills to a higher level or prepare you for special events such as weddings.

The Port Macquarie Ballroom Dancing School is a private association of experienced dance instructors dedicated to supporting recreational and social dancing for people of all ages in the Port Macquarie-Hastings district. We believe that dancing is the loftiest, most moving, and most beautiful of the arts, as it represents life itself.

We are proud to operate in association with the Panthers Port Macquarie Ballroom Dancing Group, which organises a programme of monthly dance events in various local venues. These events provide a wonderful opportunity for our students and the community to come together and enjoy the joy of dancing. From intimate gatherings to grand balls, there is something for everyone.

On our website, you can find details of our upcoming social dances, including dates, times, and venues. The dances feature a mix of pre-recorded and live music, with the Christmas Dance being a standout event with live music by Barry Noble. Each dance includes raffles, Lucky Door prizes, and Monte Carlo prizes, adding to the excitement of the evening.

Admission is $10 at the door for dances with pre-recorded music and $15 for dances with live music (which includes tea and coffee). Doors open at 7:00pm, with dancing starting at 7:30pm. Visitors are always welcome to join us, making it a great opportunity to meet new people and expand your social circle.
