Portishead LeRoc is led by experienced dance teachers Steve Wonnacott, Dave and Kat Holbrook. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, they provide fun and engaging lessons. Herb, an experienced dancer himself, leads the Beginners' Extra class in the second part of the evening. The school also has Graham and Julie, who met at Portishead LeRoc and eventually got married.
They bring their love for dancing and a warm welcome to all attendees.
The school was founded in 2005 by Maurice Flay, who wanted to introduce modern jive to the area. Maurice's dedication to teaching beginners helped establish Portishead LeRoc as an integral part of the local dance community. Heather Parsons, a supporter from the beginning, eventually joined Maurice as a teacher. When Maurice moved on to pursue other interests, Heather took over and continues to uphold the school's values and passion for dance.
