One of the club's main advantages is its location at Newton Bay, a natural bay that remains sheltered throughout the summer months, providing ideal conditions for various water sports activities. The club is well-equipped with its own fleet of tractors, which are available for all members to use to launch and recover their crafts from the water. These tractors are the only vehicles permitted to drive on the beach at Newton, ensuring the safety and convenience of all club members.

Failure to renew before the General Meeting will result in membership lapse and the allocation of one's number to a new member.
Reinstatement is subject to the discretion of the Executive Committee and will be considered as a new membership, thus incurring the new membership fee. However, members who wish to keep their membership active despite not renewing at the moment can pay an associate fee, allowing them to rejoin the club without paying a joining fee in the future. Associates also have access to the club's toilets and showers while at the beach.
