At Port Colts, we believe in providing boys and girls with a sense of fulfilment, pride, and belonging within their teams and our club. Our dedicated coaches work tirelessly to develop every player to their full potential, promoting teamwork, respect, effort, and improvement.
As a community club, we rely on our amazing volunteers to provide significant value to all of our players and families. We're proud to be affiliated with the South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL). Our strong and healthy culture has earned us several awards from the SMJFL, including “Best Conducted Club” twice, “Runner-Up Best Conducted Club,” and “Junior Coach of the Year.” We have also received recognition for our dedicated volunteers, including “SMJFL Life Membership” for Peter Martin and the “Outstanding Contribution to Junior Football Award” for Steve Schreuder.
In 2023, we had some incredible achievements on the field as well! Our U15 Girls Division 1 team clinched the Premiership, and our U12 Mixed Division 3 team also brought home the Premiership. With over 50% of our teams participating in finals, it was a truly successful year.
Our President, Annette Maloney, is an outstanding leader who was recently awarded the AFLW Community Ambassador for Victoria (2023) and the AFL Female Community Volunteer of the Year for 2022. She leads a passionate and dedicated group of committee members and volunteers who are committed to making Port Colts the best it can be.
