Pointeworks School of Dance, located in the charming town of Tenbury Wells, is a dance school offering a wide range of classes for both children and adults. Led by the highly skilled and experienced Debbie Collis, Pointeworks School of Dance is dedicated to nurturing talent, encouraging self-confidence, and providing a fun and enjoyable learning environment.

Debbie's passion for dance started at an early age, when she began training at the Vera Skelton School of Dance in Hull. Throughout her childhood and teenage years, Debbie participated in school shows and pantomimes in local theatres, showcasing her natural talent and love for the art.

At the age of eleven, Debbie's talent was recognised when she earned a prestigious Royal Academy of Dance Yorkshire scholarship. This meant she had the incredible opportunity to attend twice-weekly lessons in York with Louise Browne OBE, in addition to her regular dance school training. Debbie excelled in her scholarship and held it for the full five years.

Following her impressive scholarship success, Debbie auditioned and was accepted into The Royal Ballet School's Dancer's Course when she turned 16. This was a significant milestone in her journey as a dancer, as she left Hull and embarked on an exciting new chapter in Baron's Court, London. During her time in London, Debbie had the privilege of performing at the renowned Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, in front of members of the Royal Family. One of the most memorable experiences was being selected to perform in front of Dame Ninette de Valois, the esteemed founder of the Royal Ballet School.

With over 30 years of teaching experience, Debbie is a valued and accredited member of the Royal Academy of Dance. Her dedication and expertise have resulted in a 100% pass rate for her pupils in RAD examinations. Many of her former pupils have gone on to join professional dance companies, pursue acting roles, or become dance teachers themselves, with some even establishing their own successful dance schools.

From graceful adult ballet to the popular Silver Swans classes for mature dancers, there's something to cater to every individual's interest and skill set. With a focus on technical proficiency, artistic expression, and physical fitness, students can expect to develop their talent and refine their techniques, all while having a great time.
