London Ballet Classes invites you to join an exciting new class specifically designed for those interested in Pointe work. Whether you're a beginner or looking to progress from the basics, this class is perfect for you.
In this carefully curated class, the focus is on helping dancers identify their personal development areas, manage hypermobility, and prevent injuries. The lessons kick off with pre-pointe exercises that develop ankle strength, stability, and correct placement. As we progress, the pointe exercises will primarily focus on warm-up exercises and beginner barre work, gradually advancing to basic centre exercises.
Rest assured that the exercises can always be modified or adapted to suit different levels of experience. However, please bear in mind that participants should have at least a year of ballet experience and an active weekly ballet practice. Prior approval from the teacher is also required to attend this class.
Located at The Place Dance Studio, Studio 3, 16 Flaxman Terrace, Kings Cross, London, WC1H 9AT, this studio class takes place every Wednesday from 7.45 to 8.45pm.
Please note that professional fitting of pointe shoes is preferable, although not mandatory for booking.
