Point Chevalier Sailing Club in Auckland is your go-to spot for all things sailing. Established back in 1919, this club is all about keeping the love for sailing alive and kicking 🛥️. Scott and the team at Point Chevalier Sailing Club are committed to promoting sailing as a lifelong sport, fostering a love for the water, and teaching valuable leadership skills.
You’ll find club racing happening every second Sunday, with both senior and junior sailors getting in on the action. Summer brings even more fun with social sailing and adventure sailing for the younger members—perfect for those looking to have a good time on the water.
If you're keen to learn, the club runs sailing classes for kids and adults starting in terms 4 (October) and term 1 (February). Sessions are held after school and on Saturdays, making it easy for everyone to join. With experienced instructors ready to guide you, it’s the ideal place to dive into sailing or up your game.
Need a venue for an event? The club's spacious hall is available for hire—great for workshops, seminars, or parties. It's a versatile space that can cater to any event.
Over the years, the club has seen some cool upgrades. In the mid-1960s, they moved to a new spot at the end of Raymond Road, and in 1990, architect Alastair Madill designed their awesome clubhouse at Raymond St Reserve. This modern clubhouse is the perfect place for members to get together and share their love for sailing.
Whether you’re a pro racer or just looking to try sailing, Scott and everyone at Point Chevalier Sailing Club can't wait to welcome you. Join this buzzing community in Auckland and discover the joy of sailing! 🏄♂️
