NBS Waahi Taakaro Golf Club, located in Nelson, is a local golf club that offers a range of exciting activities and events throughout the year. For all our fellow golf enthusiasts out there, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved and show off your skills!
Our official club season runs from April 1 to October 31, giving our club members exclusive access to the course on Saturdays from 10.00am to 2.00pm, weather permitting. However, if the course isn't busy, green fee players may have the chance to play earlier. So, if you're keen to join in on the fun, make sure to check availability and book your spot through our golf shop. Now, when summer rolls around from November 1 to March 31, our Saturday club competition will kick off at the usual time of 9.00am. Rest assured, we'll make sure to accommodate all our green fee players based on their bookings. We do ask that all players report to the golf shop at least 20 minutes before their tee time, so we can get everyone organised and ready to go.
But wait, there's more! We also have specific playing days for our Women's and Golden Oldies sections. Our lovely Ladies section gets to show off their skills on Mondays and Wednesdays, while our Oldies section gets their turn on Thursdays. And for a bit of friendly competition, we have a 9-hole competition open to all our members every Tuesday afternoon.
We believe in creating an enjoyable atmosphere for all our players, so we highly recommend familiarising yourself with our rule book and practising good golf etiquette. By doing so, not only will you contribute to the overall enjoyment of the game, but you'll also enhance your own experience on the course.
