Join West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook Football Club (WPHCFC), the local Soccer club in Sydney, and be part of the thrilling Lions' Football competition in 2024. Hosted by the North West Sydney Football Association (NWSF), this competition offers an array of categories tailored to different age groups, ensuring there's something for everyone.
For our youngest players, aged Under 6, 7, and 8, the Minis category provides a fun and non-competitive environment. These small-sided games place emphasis on skill development, teamwork, and of course, enjoyment. Boys and girls alike are welcome to register and can look forward to Saturday morning matches.
The U9 to U11 age groups also have their own non-competitive small-sided games, where participation, skill development, teamwork, and enjoyment take centre stage. While all the rules of football apply, points are awarded in these matches, adding an extra dash of competition. Boys and girls can sign up for this category, with matches played on full-size fields and varying match play times. Juniors showcase their skills on Saturdays, while the Seniors take the field on Saturday afternoons and/or Sundays.
Introducing the Football for All category, specially designed for children with intellectual disabilities. On Saturdays, players participate in matches simulating games between two junior teams. Boys and girls can register for this inclusive competition, and rest assured, there is no mid-week training involved.
And that's not all! We're proud to offer a girls-only competition for our Minis Under 6, 7, and 8 categories. Just like our other Minis category, this competition places great importance on participation, skill development, teamwork, friendship, and above all, enjoyment. These games take place on Sunday mornings, in the beautiful Gladesville and Meadowbank area. Training sessions are arranged cooperatively for teams of the same age group.
For the girls' only competition, the fun extends to the U9 to U11 (non-competitive) and U12 through to Over 30s (competitive) age groups. This category is exclusively for girls, providing a platform for female players to shine. Matches are played on Sundays, once again in the charming Gladesville and Meadowbank area.

This special day will feature exciting presentations for both our Minis and Juniors, and we'll even have a raffle to add to the festivities.
