Welcome to Playball Basketball! Playball Basketball is an affiliated association of Basketball Victoria that offers after-school basketball competition and training for primary school age children. It is open to both boys and girls from Years 1 to 6. The competition runs year-round, except during school holidays.
Playball Basketball is located at various Melbourne stadiums and school gymnasiums, including MSAC (Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre) in Albert Park, and GESAC (Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre) in Bentleigh East. It serves families in the Port Phillip, Stonnington, and Bayside areas. Additionally, it operates at Aqualink in Box Hill and surrounding areas, serving families in Whitehorse and Boroondara.
With 400 teams participating weekly, Playball Basketball focuses on promoting kids' participation, teamwork, sportsmanship, skill development, and fun. They also provide pathways for participating teams to join VJBL (Victorian Junior Basketball League) competitions. Playball Basketball is proud to be an affiliated association of Basketball Victoria.
If you are interested in becoming a coach, Playball Basketball offers Coach-the-Coach training sessions. The next training session is scheduled for 18th February. Current coaches can book their spot, and new coaches can book for the April/May session. Training is conducted at MSAC, Aqualink, and GESAC.
