During a flexibility coaching session at Pilates with Freya, you can expect a personalised approach that takes into account your current level of flexibility, any injuries or limitations, and your goals. Freya will guide you through a series of exercises and stretches that target the muscles and joints required for increased flexibility. She will provide hands-on adjustments and modifications to ensure that you are safely and effectively improving your flexibility.

Flexibility coaching sessions can take place either online or in-person at Freya's home studio in Shrewsbury. Online sessions allow for flexibility in scheduling and can be done from the comfort of your own home. In-person sessions provide the benefit of hands-on adjustments and direct feedback from Freya.

In addition to flexibility coaching, Pilates with Freya also offers private Pilates sessions and group Pilates classes. Private Pilates sessions are perfect for addressing specific needs, goals, or injuries, while group classes provide a dynamic and supportive environment for improving strength, mobility, and overall fitness.

If you're interested in joining a group class, Pilates with Freya offers beginner and intermediate classes at Oxon Church Hall in Shrewsbury. These classes follow a BASI Flow style, which emphasises precision and integrity of movement. The classes seamlessly flow from one exercise to the next, providing a full-body workout that can make a difference in just one hour a week.

Before joining a group class, it is recommended to book a 30-60 minute 1:1 assessment, especially if you are new to Pilates or have specific health concerns. This assessment allows Freya to better understand your needs and goals, ensuring that you get the most out of your Pilates experience.

Booking and payment for group classes are done in six-week blocks, and the next block begins in September. Attending classes regularly is encouraged, but if you happen to miss a class, there are catch-up options available, provided there is space in another class. It is important to give at least two hours notice of cancellation to allow others to use your place for catch-up.

Safety is a priority at Pilates with Freya. Before starting any new exercise regime, it is essential to check with your GP or medical practitioner about your suitability for such exercise. While BASI Pilates is a safe form of exercise, it is significant to listen to your body and communicate any pain or discomfort experienced during or after classes.
