Join the Pilates classes at Physioworks Saddleworth Ltd, a Pilates club based in Oldham. These classes are led by a fully qualified Chartered Physiotherapist who has been trained through the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI).
The classes are 55 minutes long and run in 6 week blocks during term time, with an additional week provided for those who may have missed a session. To ensure you get the most out of your course, we highly recommend having a Clinical Pilates assessment & tutorial before attending a class. During this assessment, our physiotherapist will guide you through the anatomy associated with engaging your core stability, setting your posture, and performing the correct breathing technique. This assessment is important to understand any health issues, goals, muscular imbalances, postural type, and to diagnose any injuries.
In our mixed ability courses, we have a maximum of 11 participants, allowing our physiotherapist to provide individual attention and assistance during the class. Each exercise is demonstrated at various levels, so you can choose the right level for yourself. We also offer personalised sessions for those who prefer tailored attention to technique, specific areas of weakness or pain, or if you prefer a training partner for motivation. Our physiotherapist may use manual techniques to ease muscular stiffness, joint tightness, and improve posture. We also teach you how to use spiky balls and a foam roller for self-release of aches and pains.
If you prefer online classes, we currently offer live Pilates classes via Zoom at various times and days each week, and it only costs £7 per session. Please refer to the class timetable provided below for more details.
