Co. Uk OUR VISION The vision of the Pickering Fishery Association (PFA) is to provide its members with the finest angling opportunities in Ryedale, promoting a sense of camaraderie and a love for fishing. With a focus on fly or nymph for free rising brown trout and grayling, the PFA aims to create a welcoming and sociable environment for anglers of all skill levels.
OUR WATERS The PFA is proud to offer access to a variety of pristine fishing waters. The Pickering Beck, both above and below the town, is a cherished location for our members. Additionally, we preserve fishing on Thornton, Oxfolds, and Costa Beck, ensuring diverse fishing experiences. For those seeking a tranquil fishing experience, we also provide access to Pexton and Paper Mill Ponds, located within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.
In addition to our own waters, the PFA has established reciprocal arrangements with other fishing associations, providing our members with access to a selection of associated waters across the country. This includes fishing opportunities on the Nidd in the Yorkshire Dales, the Tees & Tyne in the North East, and the Hamps, Dove, & Churnet in the Peak District National Park. These partnerships allow our members to explore new fishing destinations and broaden their angling horizons.
MEMBERSHIP The Pickering Fishery Association has a limited membership capacity of 120 individuals. As a member, you will have exclusive access to our lakes and eight miles of outstanding wild brown trout and grayling fishing. With such a limited number of members, the PFA ensures that each angler has ample space and opportunities to enjoy their fishing experience.
