Welcome to the Pickering Dragon Boat Club! Located in Pickering, Ontario, PDBC is home to the 2015 and 2018 Canadian National Club Champions. Led by Head Coach Scott Murray and DBC President Matt Smith, our club has a proud history of success and excellence in the sport of dragon boating.
In 2013, the City of Pickering awarded the Key to the City to the Pickering Dragon Boat Club for its international-calibre accomplishments, including a strong showing at the world championships in Hong Kong. The club proudly holds the Guinness World Record for distance traveled in a 24-hour span by paddling an impressive 214. 9 kilometres.
Our club is not only dedicated to achieving success in competition but also to promoting health and wellness within the community. We strive to inspire others to lead a more active lifestyle and participate in the sport of dragon boating.
Each year, we host the Pickering Dragon Boat Festival, a highly anticipated event featuring exciting races, entertainment, food vendors, and merchandise vendors. The festival brings together paddlers of all levels and ages to celebrate the sport and showcase their skills on the water.
