Georgie's journey with Pilates began over 15 years ago when she discovered the practise and instantly became hooked. She found that Pilates provided the missing link to connect with her body in a way that no other exercise or movement practise had before. This personal experience ignited her passion for teaching Pilates and ultimately led her to establish Piccolo Pilates.
Georgie's qualifications and extensive training make her an exceptional instructor. After completing a full year's training in the classical style of Pilates, which stays true to Joseph Pilates' original repertoire, Georgie furthered her expertise by undertaking a comprehensive course with Polestar Pilates, a renowned organisation in Asia. This contemporary teaching style has a strong focus on rehabilitation, and Georgie had the privilege of working alongside physiotherapists to gain invaluable experience in working with clients with injuries. It was during this time that her love for teaching prenatal and postnatal women flourished.
In addition to her previous qualifications, Georgie also undertook a course with Mama's Pilates to deepen her knowledge and expertise in working with pregnant and postnatal women. Her commitment to continuous growth and learning is evident as she is currently pursuing another certification with The Centre for Women's Fitness in Chicago, an internationally recognised institution specialising in women's health and fitness.
