Phoenix Back to Netball Wrexham is a vibrant and inclusive netball club based in Wrexham, New Zealand. The club is open to all ladies who are eager to learn and enjoy netball, while also socialising, having fun, and improving their fitness.
Since its establishment in January 2022, Phoenix has rapidly grown in popularity and now offers more than just back to netball sessions. The club provides a supportive and welcoming environment for women of all skill levels, including those who have never played netball before or haven't played since school. Whether you are a total beginner or looking for a more competitive netball experience, Phoenix has got you covered.
The club is located in the sports hall of Rhosnesni High School, offering convenient and spacious facilities for training and matches. Phoenix holds two training sessions on Monday nights. The first session is aimed at competitive players and takes place from 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm. The second session is specifically designed for back to netball participants and runs from 8:15 pm to 9:30 pm.
The cost of each session is 4, payable in cash on the night. The first session is free for new participants, allowing them to experience the club without any financial commitment.
Led by a team of qualified coaches, Phoenix ensures that players receive professional guidance and support to enhance their skills and enjoyment of the sport. The coaching team includes Caitlin Jones, a Qualified Level 2 Netball Coach, and Zoe Jones and Julie Moss, who are both Qualified Level 1 Netball Coaches. Their expertise and dedication contribute to the overall success and development of the club.
In addition to regular training sessions, Phoenix organises various events and activities to foster a sense of community and celebration. One of the highlights is the annual Phoenix Presentation Evening, where the club gathers to recognise and reward achievements, enjoy live music, participate in exciting raffles, and add a unique Phoenix twist to the popular game of Bongos Bingo. The event also serves as a fundraiser to support the club's ongoing endeavours, with the most recent evening raising an impressive 600.
If you are interested in joining Phoenix Back to Netball Wrexham, there is no need to sign up in advance. Simply turn up to one of the training sessions, and you will be warmly welcomed into the Phoenix community. Whether you are seeking to learn, improve, or simply have fun, Phoenix offers a friendly and supportive environment where you can enjoy the sport of netball while also connecting with like-minded individuals.
