Welcome to Petley Wood Equestrian Centre, a friendly and family-run horse riding school located in the heart of the East Sussex countryside, just minutes away from the historic town of Battle. The centre is managed by Julie Padmore and her daughter Danielle, who are dedicated to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for riders of all ages and skill levels.
Petley Wood Equestrian Centre offers a range of disciplines, making it suitable for riders with different interests and goals. Whether you prefer dressage, show jumping, or simply want to improve your horsemanship skills, our experienced trainers and high-quality facilities can cater to your needs.
At Petley Wood, the well-being of your horse is our top priority. Our yard is well-staffed and equipped to ensure individualised care and attention for each horse. We understand that every horse is unique, and we strive to provide a comfortable and nurturing environment that promotes their physical and mental well-being.
Our facilities are something we take pride in. We have a 75m × 25m dressage Arena and a 60m × 80m Main Arena, providing ample space for training and competitions. Our facilities are available for hire seven days a week, allowing riders to practise and train at their convenience.
Petley Wood Equestrian Centre also hosts regular events and competitions, including dressage, show jumping, and clear round schooling. We have a full events calendar, which includes clinics with renowned trainers and coaches. These events offer riders the opportunity to learn, grow, and compete in a supportive and friendly atmosphere.
