The Peterborough & District Bowls Centre, founded in 1958, is the leading Club in the area, offering both indoor and outdoor flat green bowling. The Centre is air-conditioned and boasts nine indoor rinks and an outdoor green, catering to bowlers of all levels. The main hall's floor, consisting of six rinks, was completely re-laid in 2019 with a modern wooden base, replacing the deteriorating concrete base.
With a rich history in the game, the club has had numerous successes at both County and National levels, for individuals, men, women, and juniors. The club takes pride in its coaching programmes, catering to both adult and junior beginners to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn and improve their skills.

Coaching sessions are also available for both new and established bowlers. New bowlers can participate in coaching sessions held on Saturdays from 10 am to 12 pm for a duration of 6 weeks. The club enforces a dress code for leagues, interclub matches, roll-ups, coaching, and practises. Dress code for leagues and interclub matches requires predominantly white clothing above the waist, with black, grey, or tailored bowls trousers, shorts, or skirts. For roll-ups, coaching, and practises, a “smart casual” dress code is observed. It is mandatory for all players to wear flat-soled bowls shoes when on the green.
