Perform Better Gymnastics Academy, led by founder and head coach James Thompson, has been a cornerstone of North London's fitness scene since 2012. James set up the academy to make gymnastics accessible and affordable for everyone in the local community.

At the academy, budding gymnasts aged 4 and up can dive into a range of activities. From vault and floor exercises to trampolining and parkour, there’s something for everyone. Mini rotations like bars, beam, rhythmic gymnastics, and tumbling keep things fresh and exciting.

The coaching team at Perform Better is top-notch, featuring former Olympians and World Champions. They’re fully qualified, DBS checked, insured, and proud members of British Gymnastics. Safety and fun are their top priorities, ensuring everyone has a great time while learning.

The main hub is in North Finchley, with additional classes at Southbury Leisure Centre (Enfield), Tottenham Green Leisure Centre, and the TaB Centre (Palmers Green). This makes it super convenient for folks all over North London to get involved.

James has also teamed up with local schools to bring gymnastics and other sports like football, tennis, dance, and fitness into the curriculum and after-school clubs. These sessions build key skills like coordination, strength, and flexibility while boosting fitness and social skills.
