Our adult classes at Paul Treacy's Academy of Martial Arts offer a comprehensive training syllabus in LKD Combat and Japanese Jiu Jitsu. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn self-defence techniques or an experienced martial artist wanting to further develop your skills, our classes cater to all levels of experience.
LKD Combat, which stands for 'Leap of a Kamikaze Dragon', is a modern martial art system that combines aspects of Kickboxing, Karate, Muay Thai, Kung Fu, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It focuses on practical self-defence techniques, strikes, and grappling, making it a well-rounded and effective martial art.
Japanese Jiu Jitsu, on the other hand, is a traditional martial art that emphasises joint locks, throws, and immobilisation techniques. It is a great martial art for self-defence and also offers a complete body workout.
Our adult classes are taught by experienced instructors who provide expert guidance and support to help you achieve your goals. Whether you are looking to improve your fitness, gain self-confidence, or learn effective self-defence techniques, our classes will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need.
In addition to our regular classes, we also offer private 121 classes and small group workshops. These sessions provide individualised attention and enable you to focus on specific areas of your training. Whether you want to work on improving your technique, build strength and conditioning, or learn advanced moves, our instructors can tailor the session to meet your needs.
At Paul Treacy's Academy of Martial Arts, the safety, and well-being of our students are our top priorities. All our instructors are First Aid qualified and undergo Enhanced DBS checks. They also participate in teaching/training refresher courses to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest safety protocols and teaching methods.
Our academy is equipped with everything you need to enhance your development and training. We provide striking shields, gloves, focus pads, and training mats to facilitate your training. Our facilities are clean, spacious, and well-maintained, offering a safe and comfortable environment for all our students.
