The ice skating rink in Shannon, “Patinoire de Shannon,” offers a magical winter experience for residents and visitors alike. Nestled in a picturesque setting, the outdoor rink and sports chalet are perfect for family fun or simply enjoying the beauty of winter. The illuminated forest ice trail, outdoor fireplace, and slide provide a unique and enchanting outdoor experience.
Residents of Shannon can enjoy free entry to the rink with proof of residency, while non-residents can pay on-site with debit or cash. General admission prices are $5 for children aged 6-12, $10 for adults, and free for children aged 0-5. Season passes are also available for individuals and families at affordable rates.
Due to spring-like conditions, the ice skating rink will be closed for the 2024 season, including the sports chalet and slide. The City of Shannon thanks the rink team and Public Works Department for maintaining the facilities and providing a space for residents and visitors to enjoy their favourite winter activities.
