Paraestra QLD Kosugi Dojo

Paraestra QLD Kosugi Dojo is a martial arts school located in Holmview, Queensland. Established in 2019, the dojo operates out of a home garage and offers a relaxed and easy-going atmosphere for individuals of all ages and fitness levels.

The founder of Paraestra, Yuki Nakai, is a renowned figure in the martial arts community. He is the president of the Japanese Confederation of BJJ and has competed in various MMA promotions, including Shooto and Vale Tudo Japan. With his warm and friendly personality, Nakai has influenced many students and continues to operate Paraestra Tokyo in Japan.

Takeshi Kosugi, also known as Taka, is the professor at Paraestra QLD Kosugi Dojo. He received his black belt from his best friend Daniel Higgins, who is the head coach of Paraestra QLD, and Tyrone Johns, the head coach of Ares MMA Palaestra. Taka had the opportunity to train under the guidance of Nakai Sensei for several years, and it was through this connexion that he established the dojo in Holmview.

At Paraestra QLD Kosugi Dojo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a focus of the training. Weekly practise sessions are available, catering to both beginners and experienced practitioners. Additionally, there is a kids' class offered, providing a safe and supportive environment for children to learn martial arts skills while building confidence and discipline.

The dojo also offers personal training and group training sessions, allowing individuals to work on their fitness goals and receive personalised attention from the experienced instructors.

Paraestra QLD Kosugi Dojo is proud to be affiliated with Paraestra head office in Tokyo, Japan, and follows the teachings and principles established by Yuki Nakai. The founder's influence and legendary fights, such as Vale Tudo Japan, inspire the instructors and students at the Holmview location.
