Papatoetoe Bridge Club

The Papatoetoe Bridge Club in Auckland, an enthusiastic part of NZ Bridge, has a mission to grow and share the love of contract bridge locally. The club, led by Mark Buckley, Carolyn Buckley, Linda Thorne, and a dedicated committee, puts a strong focus on community and skill improvement.

Mark Buckley and his team organise a variety of activities for bridge players across all levels. They also support the NZ Bridge Foundation, offering online lessons and improver classes for both beginners and intermediates. This is a great way to enhance your skills for better performance at the bridge table.

To make game attendance smoother, Mark has implemented a voucher system for table money. You can buy vouchers in blocks like 5, 10, or 15, costing the same as the old table money—$60 for 20 vouchers. Just bring your vouchers to game sessions and avoid the hassle of cash.

For purchasing vouchers, players can transfer the money directly to the club’s bank account (12-3028-0659425-00), using their surname and the term “vouchers” in the payment details. If internet banking isn’t an option, cash payments can be made to Carolyn Buckley or, if she’s not around, John Weijermars.

The club holds sessions that are open to all, whether or not you're a member, with table money set at $3 for members and $5 for non-members. Everyone is welcome to join in for an affordable and enjoyable experience.

Located at the Kolmar Centre, the venue is easy to access, and there's a map on the club’s website for first-time visitors.
