Luke, the organiser, welcomes everyone to the Paihia Ex-Servicemen's Association (Paihia Club), a lively spot in the beautiful Bay of Islands. Luke's focused on creating a safe and friendly space for all members, guests, and those thinking of joining.
At Paihia Club, there's something for everyone. The bar has plenty of beers on tap, a variety of wines, spirits, and soft drinks, all reasonably priced. It's a top spot for a quick drink or a relaxed meal.
Feeling peckish? The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner, offering tasty meals to suit all sorts of cravings. The menu's got a bit of everything, so everyone leaves happy.
For sports and games fans, Paihia Club is spot on. Free access to pool and snooker tables, darts, indoor bowls, and card games like Euchre, 500, and Five Crowns means you'll never be short of something fun to do. There's also a gaming lounge with nine machines for those who love a bit of excitement.
Each week, there are activities like Housie, Texas Hold'em Poker, and Karaoke. Regular raffles and membership draws add to the excitement, with fantastic prizes up for grabs.
Throughout the year, Luke organises various tournaments for fishing, golf, pool, snooker, indoor bowls, and darts. These events bring members and guests together for friendly competition and good times.
Paihia Club also offers some great amenities. A courtesy van is available on Mondays and Fridays to ensure you get home safely. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor areas to socialise, along with ample car parking and motorhome parking on non-event days.
If you need a venue for private functions like birthdays, corporate events, weddings, or funerals, Paihia Club is a great choice. The venue is free of charge, and the Club Manager is just a call away to help you with the details.
Becoming a member comes with perks, including discounts at the bar and restaurant and reciprocal rights at over 300 clubs across New Zealand.
Club opening hours are Monday at 3 pm, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 4 pm. The club is closed on Wednesdays, Sundays, and on the 25th and 26th of December.
Stay up to date with events and entertainment by checking out the club's website, Facebook page, or the calendar at the venue.
Luke and the Paihia Club look forward to welcoming you to the Bay of Islands. Come and create some great memories with us!
