Upon confirmation, participants will receive a unique PADI Open Water Course eLearning code. This code grants them access to complete the home study portion of the course, covering all the essential theory modules. The first weekend of this thrilling course takes place at the esteemed 2DiVE4 Scuba School premises, nestled in the heart of Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire. Here, participants get the opportunity to delve into a theory review session, allowing them to refresh their knowledge. Additionally, they will also be introduced to the wide array of scuba diving equipment. Seasoned instructors from 2DiVE4 will guide participants through this process, ensuring they understand and appreciate the different brands and variations of scuba diving gear.
On the next day, participants will head to either Bishop's Stortford College Pool or Polam Pool in Bedford to embark on the confined water modules. These modules consist of 24 essential skills that must be mastered through five pool dives. The instructors from 2DiVE4 lend their expertise and patience in demonstrating these dives. Participants can rest assured that they will receive top-notch guidance from our experienced instructors throughout their journey.
The excitement continues on the second weekend as participants get ready for their qualifying dives in open water. These thrilling dives take place in one of 2DiVE4's reputable training lakes, either in Leicestershire or Capernwray. Spread over two days, the participants will engage in two dives per day and repeat a selection of skills they learned in the pool, but in a deeper and more immersive environment. Each dive is closely supervised by a qualified instructor, ensuring safety and guidance every step of the way. The training lakes also offer fascinating points of interest, such as sunken shipwrecks and aeroplanes, adding an extra layer of excitement to the diving experience.
Upon successfully completing the fourth dive, participants will achieve the prestigious title of a certified PADI Open Water Diver. As a testament to their accomplishment, each participant will receive a dive log on the PADI app or in a log book, further marking their achievement and progress in the world of scuba diving.
