DiveClub Northern Ireland invites you to join us for an exciting Scuba Diving event right here in Belfast. The PADI Advanced Open Water course is the perfect opportunity for you to take your diving skills to the next level and explore new depths.
In this course, you will build upon the basics you learned in Open Water and dive into speciality areas such as deep diving and navigation. With five open water dives in these specialist areas, you will gain supervised experience and be qualified to dive up to 30 meters in conditions similar to or better than those you trained in.
Think of the Advanced Open Water course as a chance to become more confident and knowledgeable as a diver. It's a chance to broaden your horizons and sample different scuba specialities under the guidance of an experienced instructor. These adventure dives, which are the first dives of various speciality courses, will introduce you to the wide variety of diving experiences you can have.
By completing the Advanced Open Water training, you will not only expand your diving possibilities but also enhance your skills. It's important to note that while the course may have “Advanced” in its title, it doesn't automatically make you an experienced diver. However, it does pave the way for you to continue climbing the learning ladder and even consider becoming a dive professional if you wish.
To enrol in the Advanced Open Water Course, you will need to have your Open Water Certification. The core competencies you gained in the Open Water Course will prepare you for the challenges of the Advanced Course. There is no minimum number of dives required, and even PADI Junior Open Water Divers who are at least 12 years old can participate, with some restrictions. They will be certified up to 21m/70ft and upgrade to 30m/100ft when they turn 15.
The Advanced Open Water Course is designed to be accessible and enjoyable. No quizzes, exams, or pool sessions are involved. Instead, you will embark on five different adventure dives, each followed by a knowledge review with your instructor. The course can be completed over 2 or 3 days, with up to 3 dives in a single day. Typically, we'll aim for 2 dives during the day and even throw in a thrilling night dive if you choose that option.
Out of the five training dives, the Deep Dive and Underwater Navigation Dive are mandatory. These dives will give you valuable skills and knowledge for deeper dives and ensure you can navigate underwater with confidence. You'll learn how to handle the effects of diving deeper and master the art of underwater navigation.
So, if you're ready to take your diving skills to new depths and explore the hidden wonders of the underwater world, join DiveClub Northern Ireland for the PADI Advanced Open Water course. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to become a more experienced, confident diver. Sign up today and let the adventures begin!
