2 day Level 1 Sea Kayaking Skills ($180) This course builds on the skills learned in the Basic Skills course and focuses on developing a stronger foundation in kayaking technique and safety. Students will learn more advanced paddle strokes, navigation skills, and rescue techniques, preparing them to paddle in open water conditions.
We also offer private lessons for those who want more individualized instruction or want to focus on specific skills. Our instructors are passionate about kayaking and love to share their knowledge with others.

Frequently Asked Questions
We help you enjoy sea kayaking and paddle boarding, and we provide club gear such as PFDs, paddles, pumps, throw ropes, and spray skirts. Certified members can borrow sea kayaks and paddle boards for set time periods.
We operate from within Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt. Certified members can borrow two kayaks up to 10 days at a time and two paddle boards up to 5 days at a time.
You need a valid membership for the year and valid Paddle Canada certification to access club equipment. If you don’t have certification, we offer training at very affordable rates, and for now you can reserve gear using the Google Sheet booking document.
