Based at Morayfield it caters from beginner to advanced helping players master the fundamentals over time and improve basketball IQ in a competitive and supportive environment.
In addition to team concepts, we follow a skills matrix which ensures progression in the main pillars of the sport: body movement/footwork, ball handling, shot techniques, defence, passing and rebounding.
Participants are exposed over time to core skills, game speed and competitive training as well as a focus on:
OzSwoosh implements trending offensive and defensive approaches and aligns where possible with State and National Team Styles of Play. Athletes demonstrating an ongoing commitment to the program may be invited to compete in our Academy's representative tournament or domestic competition teams.

Sessions are conducted by a Qualified NCAS Level 2 High Performance Coach with 30+ coaching and playing experience.

In 2016 Coach Craig Rowe left his local associations (Northside Wizards and Moreton Bay Suns) after 12 years of volunteering to focus on building a private basketball academy to better serve the skill development needs of non-representative athletes.
Rowe is a NCAS Level 2 Accredited Coach (1998, 2015-2018), and was a BQ endorsed coaching educator from 2014 to 2020, helping 1000's of PE teachers and beginner coaches attain their club coach accreditation.
He has over 30 years coaching experience across junior club, association representative and state programs.
He also coached Senior Representative teams for Wizards (2014-20015) and Suns (2016) and was awarded SBL Coach of the Year in 2014.
He started his high-performance skills coaching journey as a QAS Intensive Training Centre apprentice coach in 1995 and was later employed as a Regional Development Officer with Basketball Queensland (1998-1999). Was a Sports Program Officer for Caboolture Shire Council (2000) and DBA Operations Manager (2001). He also assisted with the Northern Territory Intensive Training Program (2001-2002).
Rowe's other experience includes coaching U14 Boys and High School State Teams at National Club and School Championship Tournaments (NT - 2001-2002). He also helped found Southern Cross Basketball Club (now Tigers) (1994-99 + 2004-2012) and the St Columban's Eagles (1999-2000).
Over the course of 3 decades Rowe has been a Team Selector for State Representative teams and from 2018 to 2020 was the South District Schools selector and coach.
Rowe has 25 years playing experience including senior representative (BSQ & GBL late 90's) and Domestic A grade competitions resulting in many domestic championships, runners-up and personal accolades.
Today, OzSwoosh not only serves private clients we also provide services to Schools, Charities, Councils and the Queensland Police Service.
